Dragon Ball Z

About a week or two ago the movie Dragon Ball Z Evolution was released into theaters and my friends that are fans of the show wanted to go and dress up as characters from it. I have never seen the TV show or know anything about it but I wanted to go because I didn't want to stay at home by myself. So while everyone was dressed up as characters me and Halley and Brent decided to dress up as random people. Brent was an anime character, Halley a steampunk mechanic, and I was your seventh grade science teacher. We went to the midnight release and had fun laughing at how ridiculous the movie was. It was pretty awesome.

Donkey Kanga

I may have mentioned this before but one of our friends has a collection of gaming systems that he likes to bring and leave at our apartment of us to play with. At the moment we have both a Wii. PlayStation 2, and a Dreamcast in our apartment along with all the games. One of the games that he brought over is called Donkey Kanga and you play the bongos to different songs and varying difficlty settings. It is SO fun! Me and my roommate Sarah got really into it and play it all the time and it has become the center piece for many of our parties. When our friend saw how much we liked it and how good we were at it he got the second game, Donkey Kanga 2, and another set of bongos just for me! So I have my own set of bongos now but with no game and no gaming console. I think I'm going to buy the game and take it home so when we're at home we can play it, because Kamron has a Wii. I'm pretty sure Mom will like it too. Me and her have the same gaming prefrences, things like Tetris and Dr. Mario, I have a feeling this is the next to go on her list.

Photo Shoot

My friend Adam is a photography major here at BYU and so for one of his projects he decided to take pictures of me and my roommates doing different things. For me he wanted to be in my incredibly messy room with nice dresses, I think he said it was called "Conquering the Chaos" or something like that. Anyway here they are, done by a real photographer.

The Great Burrito Challenge

Me and my friend Scott are always arguing about who can make the best burritos. I of course think I make the best burritos not necessarily because I have made them before and found them to be delicious but because it is not in my abilities to back down from any sort of competition. So we created the Great Burrito Challenge in which we would both make our best burritos and would have everyone taste one of each and decide which they thought was the best. It turned out I lost, but I have a wonderful excuse for how that happened. My burritos are simple vegetarian masterpieces and his were quite a bit more complex so while his were a bit more special you could say, you would not make them on a regular basis because it would be too much work and money. Therefore I have decided that if we were to compete for who could make the best simple everyday burritos I would win. Can you tell I'm feeling a bit defensive over this loss?

Holi Festival of Colors

We went to the festival of colors again this year at the Spanish Fork Hare Krishna temple. Unfortunately this time we got there late and missed the initial throwing of the colors. As we walked into the crowd a couple people started throwing the colored chalk on us because we were still clean. A couple kids got it right on my face in a quite symmetrical pattern which I noticed later and thought was kind of funny. Mostly I just wanted to punch them in the face though, for throwing stuff at me. Also I got lost amid the thousands of people soon after arriving. I wanted to punch somebody then too. It was all together quite a voilent afternoon for me.
