Craft Project

Since I've been excessively bored I decided I wanted to do a craft project.  I found this necklace on Pinterest but the original one looks a lot different and I have no idea why.  The original had the same clusters but they poked out in all different directions, not just down like mine do.  I tried a few different things trying to make it like the picture but nothing worked.  I do like it, I just wish you couldn't see so much metal.  And I think I may want to make a matching bracelet.  Why not, I've got the time.

 

 

I was just messing around with the wire and tried out these names.  The wire was so flimsy it was hard to make it take the right shape.  So it looks like a child made it.  Maybe I'll get different wire and try it again.

And just for good measure here is a baby taking a bath.

He actually likes the bath a lot, at least he doesn't cry when we're giving him one so I interpret that as liking it a lot.  Except when he kicks and splashes himself a lot, that makes him mad.  Nevertheless he is very cute but also very slippery and hard to bathe which is why he doesn't get a bath nearly often enough.

Thigh Update

Look at those hamhocks!  We're making progress.

He's such a jokester.

 HAH!  I love this picture.  It makes me crack up every time I look at it.  Sometimes he looks so serious, like he actually knows what's going on and he's disapointed in me for pointing the camera in his face all the time.

Sleepy Baby

Oskar is ready to be done sleeping every morning by 6:00.  I, however, am not.  So I usually put him in bed next to me and if I'm lucky he'll eventually fall asleep and we'll both get more rest. 

He punches in his sleep.  I assume because he's having Rocky dreams. 

Whenever Oskar is sleeping we take advantage of it and take a nap too. 

No wonder Joel has neck pain.  I took this picture in the middle of the night while he was sleeping and I find him this way almost every single night.  It can't be comfortable. 

This isn't a sleeping picture but we thought it was funny.  It looks like he's about to pull out his gun and bust a cap. 

Grabby Baby

Oskar loves to grab onto things.  When he was in the NICU and attached to all the leads and monitors he was constantly grabbing and pulling on them. He pulled out his feeding tube TWICE.  The second time I warned the nurse but she said he wasn't strong enough to pull it out.  He was.  So here is a montage of Oskar grabbing things. 

 

 

 

 

My Sweet Little Almost 3 Month Old

Lots of these pictures were taken because I think he's so cute and also because I want to see him in all his different outfits.  This is one of his baseball outfits.

 

I think it's really cute when he grabs onto the bottle.  Sometimes I let him hold it up all by himself.  He usually just makes messes though.

This was the outfit that Keri got for him.  It fits him perfectly.  We'll have to wait a while for the leggings to fit him and even longer for the shoes.  But he's super excited about it. Below is his excited face.

 

 

Oskar thinks I'm really funny. 

 

He's getting really smiley now and a lot more social.  He was kind of a stick-in-the-mud before but now he's really the life of the party.  We have smiling practice everyday and he's just doing great.

Today was so nice we went on a walk!  I think he really likes being carried around in this thing, he falls asleep almost immediatlely and stays asleep the whole time.
